Freshly picked apricots from our PSP apricot tree!! We look forward to making homemade apricot jam with the children soon!! Our apricots make a good snack, too!! :O)
We thank everyone of the PSP community for your love, care, and support during this hard time. As some of you may already know, we found out that Teacher June has cancer. :O( It's been a tiring and difficult ordeal for her and her family, but she strives to fight her battle to carry on the spirit of PSP. We are hoping for the best, and a quick recovery for her! We love you so much, Teacher June!
Here is a final note from Teacher June herself: "As many of you know, about a year and a half ago, we, unexpectedly, lost our beloved Teacher Minh, my husband, our girls’ father, a dear and loved friend to all. It was such a shock and continues to be a sadness that we carry with us. However, it has been through your continuous and constant love and support that our girls and I have pulled through the saddest and darkest of days. The love and hugs from your children have helped make sad times happy again, for which we are eternally grateful. Well, on a sad note, there was some bad news on my recent ObGyn appointment in this month and I will need to take some time off for surgery and recovery (scheduled for the week of June 12th). Unfortunately, cancer cells are brutal and though it is expected that I make a full recovery, one never knows. But, in the meantime, I want to reassure you all that your children will continue to be in good hands, with or without my presence. Wonderful Teachers Vanessa and Midori will keep things running smoothly at PSP during my absence. In addition, we have wonderful, loving teachers who will come in to help out, such as Teacher Tien (yes – Avery and Alex’ mom is a fully licensed teacher) and some others, such as some PSP alums – all who know the program and understand your children very well. I thank you all in advance for your continued love and support for this next battle. I’m confident that things will go well and I look forward to seeing all of your children’s happy faces upon my return. " Love, Teacher June and family |
